Pat Danuel Ward
Pat grew up and attended school at Wilson. He worked at the CC Camp two years then entered the U.S. Navy. After his discharge he returned to this area and worked on several housing projects as a plumber. Twelve years ago, after recording "I Lost My Wife At A Wal-Mart Store," he was encouraged to move to Nashville, Tenn., to record. He recorded several albums and made commercials with other western artists, including a video with Tracy Byrd and commercials for Farmland Foods and Senior Health Insurance. He also operated a bluegrass park south of Lone Grove. He and Mordell A. Meekins Samples were married on July 23, 1993, in Las Vegas.
Survivors include his wife, of the home in Nashville; two daughters, S Ward, Seattle, and B Self, Madill; three sons, R Ward, Madill, E Ward, Damascus, Ark,. and D Ward, Ardmore; three daughters, T Green, Bowie, Texas, T Smith, El Dorado, Texas, and T Durham, Nocona, Texas; three stepsons, D Samples, Greenville, Texas, D Samples, Nocona, and D Samples, Arlington, Texas; 3 sisters, B Houser, Okla City, P Carter Ardmore, J Lavers, Lone Grove; a brother, R Ward, Bayfield, Colo.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
