A Poem by Pearl Ward Jones

                          Why Am I Happy

Why am I Happy -Did you say why ?
I've pleasures and treasures that money can't buy.
 I'm heir to a mansion , a robe and a crown.
I'm going to a wedding in a spotless white gown.
It was Jesus, who asked me and showed me the way,
and with his own blood the admission did pay.
I'm glad that I know him, my savior and king,
and that's why I laugh and sing .
He's building my mansion and when it is through,
he said he would take me, he will come for me too.
So why am I happy- Did you say say why ?
I am going to my mansion that's built in the sky.
My savior will be there , my Father will too,
and we will live there forever me, my Savior, my Father and you. Wirtten - by Pearl Jones March 1997
