Francis Marion (Frank) Ward was the seventh child of William and Lucinda Ward and was born in Greene Co. Illinois. Francis married (1) Susan Whiteside on Dec 24,1863 in Greene Co. Illinois. Francis enlisted in the Illinois 61st Volunteer Infantry in 1862 and served until the end of the Civil War .He marriedin Greene Co Ill, on 20 Sept, 1883 (2) Sarah D. Trimble,born Feb 19, 1859 at Carrollton Ill, Died April 8,1918 at Rock Township.Jefferson County Mo. . He was found living with Sarah as his wife on the 1880 U S Census enumeration.

         County Mo. Married Ann Lancaster,  27 Jan, 1891, Adams Co ILL

    (iv) Lucinda Ward born 1871, Greene Co ILL Married John Harlan Hagler on 9 Oct
           1896 at Masiac Co. ILL ( born 24 Nov Macoupin Ill, died  21 Feb 1919, )

      (v) Millie Ward born 1876, Greene Co ILL.Married Jesse Altom (born 1879,
            Illinois) 29 Jul 1899  at Jefferson Co ILL

Francis Marion Ward is buried at Rauschenbach Family Cemetery in Sulphur Springs Mo. with his wife Sarah D (Trimble)Ward in Row 16, no dates were given. Frank was alive and well at Sulphur Springs, Missouri in 1931.

Also buried there is Mrs Oscar Ward (Ann Lancaster Ward ?)no dates, and an Elbert Ward (probably Elbert Oscar Ward)
