My Ward Family can be traced back to James Ward, bn 1754, Abermarle VA, married Elizabeth Henson, August 11, 1779 in Montgomery County Virginia.

One of their youngest sons, William Ward, born about 1800, probably in Warren County, North Carolina. He moved, about 1834, to Greene County, Illinois.

William Ward married Lucinda (Duncan) Anderson on January 16, 1828 in Greene County, Tennessee. He was with the 3rd Regiment, East Tennessee Militia in 1830 and 1832 as recorded by Federal and State Census for those years.

James and William's descendants are listed on these pages, with the exceptions of the ones we have not located , but are actively seeking in our continuing research.
